T8 LED Bulbs
T8 LED bulbs are the industry-standard upgrade for replacing outdated and inefficient linear fluorescent tubes. Engineered to provide uniform brightness and instant-on performance, these LED T8 lamps allow you to modernize your lighting system while significantly reducing energy consumption. Available in both ballast-bypass (Type B) and plug-and-play (Type A) configurations, they offer a versatile solution to fit virtually any existing fixture in offices, garages, and commercial buildings.
Our collection of T8 LED tubes is designed for long-term reliability, featuring multiple color temperatures and high-CRI options to enhance visual comfort and productivity. These energy-efficient replacements eliminate the flickering and humming associated with traditional fluorescents and come backed by professional-grade warranties. Whether you are looking for shatter-proof glass or lightweight polycarbonate designs, our T8 LEDs provide a durable, mercury-free alternative for any professional environment.
Technical Specifications: T8 Installation Methods
The most important factor in selecting a T8 LED is determining how it will interact with your existing fixture's ballast.
Type A (Ballast Compatible)
Type A T8 LEDs are "Plug-and-Play." You simply remove the old fluorescent tube and install the LED without any rewiring. While this is the easiest installation, the bulb's lifespan is dependent on the health of the existing ballast.
Type B (Ballast Bypass)
Type B T8 LEDs require removing the ballast and wiring the sockets directly to line voltage. This is the most popular choice for contractors because it eliminates future ballast failures and provides the highest energy savings.
Choosing the Right Tube for Your Facility
Dual-Mode (Type A+B) Versatility
For facility managers who want the ultimate flexibility, we offer Hybrid (Type A+B) T8 tubes. These work with a ballast today but can also be wired directly to the line voltage if the ballast fails in the future, protecting your investment for the long term.
Single-Ended vs. Double-Ended Wiring
When choosing a Ballast Bypass T8 LED, it is critical to know if your fixture requires Single-Ended or Double-Ended wiring. Double-ended tubes are generally preferred for retrofits because they can be installed in existing "shunted" sockets, reducing the labor time for your electrician.
Glass vs. Plastic Construction
We offer Frosted Glass T8 LEDs for a traditional look with 320-degree light distribution, as well as PET-coated shatter-proof versions for food service and school applications. For workshops and industrial zones, our all-plastic tubes offer maximum durability against impact.
