Product Overview

The RecessEdge Series LED Commercial Downlight is a recessed architectural luminaire platform developed for commercial interiors requiring standardized aperture sizing, field-adjustable output, and optional emergency illumination within a unified fixture family. The series supports 4-inch through 10-inch ceiling openings, allowing consistent specification across offices, healthcare facilities, educational environments, and public buildings while maintaining uniform visual appearance commonly associated with LED recessed lighting systems.

Selectable wattage configurations allow delivered lumen output to be aligned with ceiling height, spacing criteria, and task illumination targets without changing fixture type or trim geometry. Wide input voltage compatibility and integrated dimming capability support deployment across new construction and retrofit projects operating on standard commercial electrical systems used throughout modern commercial lighting installations.

Select models incorporate a factory-integrated 90-minute emergency battery system intended for egress paths and designated life-safety zones, enabling continuity between general illumination and emergency lighting requirements while minimizing the need for separate emergency fixtures. This approach supports simplified layout coordination across normal and emergency circuits within commercial lighting designs.

  • Commercial Lighting Specification & Buying Guides

Commercial lighting systems are specified based on task requirements, mounting conditions, distribution control, and code compliance. Fixture selection must align with layout planning, electrical coordination, and long-term performance expectations across the application.

    Lighting Layout, Spacing, and Performance

Fixture selection alone does not determine lighting performance; layout, spacing, mounting height, and optical distribution control how light reaches the task plane, and improper spacing or distribution can create glare, dark zones, or uneven coverage even when lumen output appears sufficient.
